On Feb. 14, 2012, the 2011 National Award for Science and Technology Progress was held ceremoniously in the Great Hall of the People, Beijing. The project of “Optimization Platform and Application of Mass Mixed-Flow Production Process” jointly declared by China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. and Huazhong University of Science and Technology won the 2nd prize of 2011 National Award for Science and Technology Progress. Relying on the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program), Major State Basic Research Development Program (973 Program), and State Natural Sciences Foundation and State Science and Technology Support Program, focusing on the technical difficulties for optimization of mass mixed-flow production process, and in combination with the urgent demands of traditional manufacturing enterprises, this project made breakthroughs in a batch of critical technologies through years of efforts and developed series equipment and optimization platform for production process, which have been extensively applied.
